Traffic is building

Two lanes of the M6 southbound between Bedworth and Coventry are closed, drivers are being alerted. An incident on the M6 Southbound between J3 A444 Bedworth Bypass (Nuneaton / Coventry) and J2 M69 (Coventry) has been reported by live traffic website Inrix.

Consequently, two lanes—lanes one and two of four—are blocked. In addition, traffic in the vicinity is starting to back up.

As of right now, we only know that there was an incident. The automobiles involved are yet unknown.

West Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted by CoventryLive on the incident. Google Traffic Maps now displays a red line that denotes traffic on the M6 south from immediately after Corley Services until Junction 2.

Delays are therefore expected to start to accumulate along the freeway segment. As soon as we receive updates, we’ll let you know.

It has been reported that the last remaining lane closure has been lifted.

It means that all lanes on the M6 southbound are now open following the accident.

However, queueing traffic remains including congestion back to Corley Services.

West Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed the collision was between a car and a lorry.

A passing ambulance came across the accident scene.

This was at just before 3pm
