A major North Staffordshire road is closed following a crash in Stoke-on-Trent today
The A500 Southbound is shut to traffic between the A34 and the M6.
The closure on the road, known as the D-road, was first reported at around 6am.
There are reportedly several vehicles involved.
A representative for National Highways stated: “The A500 southbound in Staffordshire between the A34 and M6 near Hanford is now CLOSED for recovery and clear up works following a multi vehicle collision.”
Traffic data provider Inrix reported: “A500 D Road Southbound blocked, slow traffic due to accident from A34 Stone Road (Hanford Interchange) to M6 J15 (Stoke-On-Trent).”
