A driver has died following a three-car crash in Hyndburn earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Blackburn Road, close to the Old Mother Redcap pub at around 5.20am on March 19. A Ford Mondeo had collided with an Audi car and a Skoda Octavia car.
The driver of the Mondeo, a 35-year-old man from Oswaldtwistle, suffered serious leg, facial and internal injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly died on Friday (March 21), Lancashire Constabulary have now confirmed.
Both the Audi and Skoda Octavia were reportedly travelling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Audi, a woman in her 20s, suffered spinal injuries.

The passenger of the Audi – also a woman in her 20s – suffered facial injuries. Both were taken to hospital while the driver of the Skoda Octavia was not injured.
Sgt Michael Higginson of Lancashire Police’s Road Policing Unit said: “This is a sad and tragic incident and my thoughts are very much with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.
