Johsnton got his senior Scotland debut against Greece last month after leaving the Steelmen for Sturm Graz in 2023.

Champions League-chasing SC Braga are keen on Scotland new boy Max Johnston.

The 21-year-old, who has a deal until 2027, is now in his second season in Austria and has made massive strides with the champions.

Braga are currently fourth in the Liga Portugal but have a game in hand over Porto, with Benfica and Sporting ahead of them.

Johnston’s statistics and form has also seen a number of Bundesliga sides keep a close eye, where Augsburg have been long-term admirers.

It would take a big million pound bid for Sturm Graz to sell, but they have shown in the past that they will do business if the price is right.

Johnston won his first Scotland cap against Greece last month.

It continues his rapid rise since he left Motherwell for Graz back in 2023.

He has had a lot of Champions League exposure this season in addition to winning a league and cup double.
