
A child was rushed to hospital today in serious condition after a two-car crash injured four people near Birmingham.
Police were called to Chester Road in Aldridge, Walsall at 12.04pm following reports of the collision.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said a child was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
A woman who suffered minor injuries was transported to Good Hope Hospital while another woman and child were checked over at the scene and discharged with self-care advice.
The road was closed but later reopened by police.

An ambulance spokesman told BirminghamLive: ‘We were called to reports of a two car RTC on Chester Road in Aldridge at 12.04pm. We sent two ambulances to the scene.
‘On arrival crews found four patients. The first, a child, was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
‘A woman was assessed for minor injuries and conveyed to Good Hope Hospital.
‘The two final patients, a woman and a child, were assessed for minor injuries before being discharged at the scene with self-care advice.’
